Leonie was born at Ltyentye Apurte and has lived with her family here all her life. The family spent a little while in Alice Springs, where Leonie began to paint and sell her canvas to tourists. The family returned to Ltyentye Apurte and Leonie has started to paint again, bringing her work to Keringke. Leonie's family are famous for their artistic talents, and many of them produce fine art work for Keringke.
