Patricia Ellis lives at Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa) and began painting at Keringke in 2003. Patricia is a pre-school teacher and divides her time between her family, her work at the school and painting. She has been able to watch Mrs. Wallace, a senior Keringke Artist and her mother in law, for several years and has learned technique and some ideas from that. Patricia uses designs that come entirely from her own responses to her world, and more recently has begun to explore her links through her grandmothers to both Keringke and Anthwerrke (Emily Gap). Patricia is a traditional owner for her father’s country around Amoongana and has recently excelled in her role as community artist.  Patricia is the current Chairperson of the Keringke Arts Committee of Management.
