Camilla Young spent her childhood at Ltyentye Apurte community (Santa Teresa) before attending boarding school in Alice Springs. Years 7-10 were completed at boarding school in Melbourne. Camilla returned to Ltyentye Apurte to start working in the Council Office for the Bank Agency the school and the Women’s Centre. She maintained the office at Keringke Arts in mid 1990’s and began to paint more extensively at this time. Her unique chromatic palette and use of variable dot paths lent her work a fluid, glowing presence that has attracted attention from many collectors.
