Marie Young lives at Ltyentye Apurte community (Santa Teresa) and is one of an extraordinarily talented group of siblings: Her brother Johnny is a bush toy maker, and sisters Camilla and Leonie are fine painters. Marie’s palette is as unique as her design work is. She describes her painting as metaphoric of  the kind of way she travels in her country, and through her life, with a central or focal ‘camp’ and paths leading off in direction with confluences that echo at once her physical and cultural world. Her patient observation of the world around her is present in Marie’s role as a senior painter at Keringke and her works are highly sought, unrushed always consistently high in quality.  Full Bio » »
